On Tuesday's Rush, Major League Baseball owners present another new proposal to the players' union ... but is this proposal even worse than the last?

Tony C discusses Dalvin Cook's reported plan to hold out for a new contract. He also talks about Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney defending his handling of an assistant coach three years ago, and a couple of former Clemson players want change at the university.

And more than a few players will undoubtedly be kneeling during the National Anthem this NFL season. The questions are: 1) Will those protests be viewed differently than in the past? 2) What about those who don't take a knee?

On Monday's Rush, Tony C opens the show discussing the return of Little League to Mineral County, and what that could mean for players in surrounding areas who don't have a league to play in.

Tony recaps Sunday's NASCAR race in Atlanta, and he discusses Adrian Peterson saying there is no doubt he will take a knee during the National Anthem this season.

Jordan Nicewarner (@DatDudeNice) takes his usual seat in studio for the final two hours of the show. The guys talk in length about their adventures on the golf course on Saturday, and Jordan gives his thoughts on Little League starting up in the area.

On Friday's Rush, Tony C talks about the NBA's return to the court to finish the 2019-20 season: How many teams will be involved? What are the key dates? And how does the league keep everyone safe?

Tony C gives his thoughts on the Drew Brees controversy, and the mob mentality of social media.

He also discusses Florida State head coach Mike Norvell; the Jake Fromm situation; and Major League Baseball's inability to hash things out.

And we have another Rush Friday Feature, as Joe Shuta catches up with former Major League pitcher and Pittsburgh Pirate, Bob Patterson.

On Wednesday's Rush, Tony C remembers the career of basketball hall of famer Wes Unseld, who passed away on Tuesday.

Tony also talks about the proposed plan for the NBA to return, and also wonders if Major League Baseball will ever get its act together.

We continue our discussion about the obligation of players, teams, coaches, etc., to make a statement about the civil unrest in this country, and some are getting hammered for the statements they make.

Speaking of which, Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney has had a better 24 hours.

On Tuesday's Rush, we hear from NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and get his thoughts on the civil unrest in America. 

We also discuss Evander Kane calling out Sidney Crosby and Tom Brady for not issuing a statement on the George Floyd protests, which leads Tony C to ask the question: Should players, coaches, teams, etc. be obligated to speak out or make a statement?

Tony also discusses the state of Major League Baseball; Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti makes a statement with his wallet; Nationals players stick up for the minor leaguers; and WVU reveals its phase-in plan for a return to football.

On Monday's Rush, Tony C opens the show with his thoughts on the George Floyd protests going on across the country.

After a two-week hiatus, Jordan Nicewarner (@datdudenice) is back in studio for the final two hours of the show. The guys talk about the protests and the impact the are having now and could have in the future.

They also talk cycling and the Lance Armstrong 30 for 30, and they share embarrassing stories from the golf course.

 

On Friday's Rush, Tony C talks about the new rules changes approved by the NFL, and the two changes that were left on the table, including the proposed 4th and 15 that would have been an alternative to the onsides kick.

As hundreds of minor league players were cut on Thursday, and agent Scott Boras sticks his nose in MLB business, Tony is amazed at how many different ways Major League Baseball can make itself look bad.

We also hear from Chase Elliott, who took the checkered flag at Charlotte, and we have another Rush Friday Feature with Joe Shuta. Today, Joe catches up with Major League Baseball's last 30-game winner, Denny McLain (1:24:35 mark).

On Thursday's Rush, Tony C talks about the possibility of high school football being played in West Virginia, after WVSSAC exec director Bernie Dolan said he was hopeful teams could get in a full season in 2020.

That led Tony to ask the question: If there is a high school football season, should fans and students be allowed to attend?

The Nationals' Max Scherzer rails against Major League Baseball owners after their latest economic proposal.

Tony relived Game 1 of the 1992 Stanley Cup Finals between the Blackhawks and Penguins, and marveled at the skills of Lemieux and Jagr, and he applauds the University of Minnesota for taking action following the murder of George Floyd.

On Wednesday's Rush, Tony C gives major props to the NHL and Commissioner Gary Bettman for being the first major sports league to bring a return plan to the table.

Tony also blasts Major League Baseball for once again putting greed above everything else as it tries to hammer out a deal to return to the field.

The Michael Jordan vs. Isaiah Thomas story gets another chapter.

And the D.C. Lottery is going to allow sports betting soon.

On Tuesday's Rush, Tony C returns to the big chair after a week off, and he finds out that not much as changed as pro sports leagues continue to work on finding a way to return to action.

Tony doesn't mind the NHL's proposed 24-team playoff tournament, because any hockey is better than no hockey, but he does not like the idea that the NBA -- if it returns -- will do away with the conferences and take the top 16 teams for its postseason.

Ding dong the pass interference replay rule is dead!

And Tony asks the question: Would you be in favor of youth sports (Little League baseball, softball, AAU, etc.) returning this summer?
