The Morning Rush

On Friday's Rush, Tony C unloads on Tampa Bay's Blake Snell over his comments made this week about "risking his life" to play on a reduced salary. Tony gets even more annoyed later in the show when a story breaks about Bryce Harper and Nolan Arenado supporting Snell and his comments.

Tony also talks about a pair of NFL cornerbacks wanted by Florida authorities for allegedly robbing people at a party at gunpoint.

And we hear another Rush Friday Feature with Joe Shuta, as Joe catches up with former Pirates pitcher Kip Wells.

On Thursday's Rush, the early theme of the show is "we won't know until we know". As some states slowly start to reopen, Tony C wonders how much are we willing to risk to get back to a "normal" way of living, and what could that mean for sports moving forward.

Will Cain thinks that money will be the driving force behind having fall sports in 2020, and Tony does not disagree.

Speaking of money, Tony can't believe what Tampa Bay pitcher Blake Snell said online ... talk about a bad look at a bad time.

And we hear from West Virginia football coach Neal Brown, as he held a conference call with reporters.

On Wednesday's Rush, Tony C talks about the optimism following a conference call between NBA commissioner Adam Silver and league owners and execs. That optimism is in contrast the pessimism surrounding Major League Baseball, as the owners and players' union get set to go into a battle over salaries as they try to get the season started.

Tony also talks about the decision by the 23-school California State University system to continue virtual learning in the fall, and what that could mean for fall sports at those schools.

And we hear a clip from another Baseball Tonight podcast, as ESPN's Buster Olney catches up with former MLB manager Jim Leyland.

On Tuesday's Rush, Tony C has to explain to at least one listener how podcasts work.

Tony discusses American Legion's decision to cancel the entire season nationwide, while Major League Baseball is trying to find a way to get at least half of a season played.

We get a surprise guest on the Sports Cave Rush Line as Frankfort head football coach Kevin Whiteman checks in to give his thoughts on fall sports being played in 2020 (1:24:10 mark), and on the heels of that discussion, Tony has a message to young players about the importance of accepting your role on a team.

On Monday's Rush, Tony C breaks down episodes 7 and 8 of The Last Dance, which aired Sunday night on ESPN and ESPN 2.

Jordan Nicewarner (@DatDudeNice) takes his usual seat in studio for the final two hours of the show, and he's playing injured after taking a spill on his bike.

The guys talk more about The Last Dance, what they're watching on Netflix, and they ask the question: How long would you wait for a haircut or something to eat?
