The Morning Rush

On Tuesday's Rush, Tony C gives an amazing stat on the Pirates starting pitching and the team's inability to close out games. He also looks at how the Pirates' season would have ended had this been a 162-game season.

Tony recaps the Raiders-Saints game on Monday night, which put a cap on a terrible weekend full of injuries.

And we hear from Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh.

And Tony gets Jordan's thoughts on the Pirates pulling Mitch Keller from the game on Saturday after six no-hit innings.

On Friday's Rush, Tony C looks back at an exciting start to Week 2 of the NFL season between the Bengals and Browns.

Tony looks ahead to Sunday's games with the Steelers, Ravens, and the Washington Fighting Rivera's, and he runs down Friday night's schedule in high school football.

We hear from Hampshire head coach Aaron Rule (0:54:07 mark), and Joe Shuta (2minuteto.com) has another Rush Friday Feature, as he catches up with long-time Philadelphia Phillie Von Hayes (1:22:00).

On Thursday's Rush, Tony C is joined by Morgantown High School football coach Sean Biser to discuss what he and his players are going through since being shut down on September 4 (0:47:31 mark).

On the heels of that discussion, Tony says it's time to get kids back in school and playing sports full-time.

Tony looks at the Big Ten's decision to return to the football in the fall ... and will the other shoe drop with the Pac-12?

And Tony is running out of reasons to watch the Pirates, but says one reason is the next big superstar for the Bucs.

 

On Wednesday's Rush, Tony C has his weekly chat with Frankfort head football coach Kevin Whiteman (0:47:22 mark).

It's a Press Conference Wednesday, and we hear from West Virginia head coach Neal Brown (1:43:00) and new Capitals head coach Peter Laviolette (2:04:31).

And Tony discusses yet more changes to the West Virginia map (they added another color!).

Tony looks back at Kansas City’s season-opening win over Houston, and he refuses to believe other teams AT EVERY LEVEL can’t have fans in the stands like they did at Arrowhead.

We hear from Hampshire head coach Aaron Rule, as his Trojans hit the road for the first time this season to take on Spring Mills (1:22:20  mark).

We hear from West Virginia head coach Neal Brown, who met with reporters just a few days away from the Mountaineers' season opener against Eastern Kentucky (1:42:51 mark).

Tony talks about how nice it is to see the Nationals, Orioles, and Pirates all playing exciting baseball lately. He also takes a quick glance at ESPN's fantasy football cheat sheet; the Broncos get dealt a tough hand; and OKC and Billy Donovan are parting ways.

On Tuesday's Rush, Tony C returns from an extended holiday weekend to talk about Week 1 of the high school football season in West Virginia, and big season-opening wins by Keyser and Frankfort.

Tony voices his displeasure over the Bridgeport-Morgantown game being called off Friday just hours before kickoff, over a rise in Covid-19 numbers that had nothing to do with the programs.

Tony also discusses the worst way to spend a holiday (Hint: it involves a pressure washer and wood deck), but there was one silver lining to his weekend: Cobra Kai on Netflix.
